The timings to visit the Taj Mahal are set by the ASI – Archaeological survey of India and the visiting is open on all days except for Friday. On Fridays, the entry is allowed only into the Taj mosque in the afternoon for those who want to perform their prayers. Tickets for the sightseeing are available throughout the day and can be bought from the eastern and the southern gates. Timings are from sunrise to sunset.
The night viewing shift at Taj Mahal begins from 8.30PM to 12.30PM and is available only for five nights in a month. The night viewing is closed on Fridays. On a single night a maximum of 400 people can visit the mausoleum that too in groups of 50 each with 30 minutes in their hand. The tickets have to be booked one day before for the night sightseeing. The night viewing ticket of Taj Mahal is to be booked at the booking counter of the Archaeological Survey of India, Agra circle, 22 The Mall, Agra, U.P. and is to be done in between 10 AM in the morning to 6PM in the evening.
The day fee for foreigners is Rs.750 and the same for the citizens of SAARC and BIMSTEC countries is Rs. 510. The entry for children who are below the age of 15 years is free.
The Night fee for Adult foreigners is Rs. 750 and for children of 3 to 15 years is set to be Rs. 500. The entry for children below 3 years of age is free.
